FROM HUMBUG TO HOPE

With performances of Dickens’ ‘A Christmas Carol’ in the city, and a new adaptation on the BBC this December, we will be using this classic story as our theme this year.

You will receive a very warm welcome to any of our Christmas Events and services.  Below you will find details of everything that is happening during this Christmas period at Broadway.

SUNDAY MORNING WORSHIP

Our Sunday morning worship every Sunday with Creche and Children’s groups.  Our theme during advent will be from Humbug to Hope. Each week we will take a different aspect of the Christmas Carol story alongside a different name of Jesus of how he is with us past, present and future.

BACK IN TIME FOR CHRISTMAS

Justin Time has finally completed his time machine and what better use for it than to go back 2000 years to the nativity. So he can not only see it for himself, but can give baby Jesus a Christmas present of his own too! Everything should run like clockwork – that’s if Justin’s calculations are correct..

Monday 09 December – 1800

PEACELIGHT CAROL SERVICE

Each year, a child from Upper Austria kindles a flame from the “Eternal Flame” from the Nativity Grotto in Bethlehem where Jesus was born. The light is then flown to Austria from where it is distributed at a Service of Dedication to delegations from across Europe who take it back, with a message of Peace, to their own countries for use at ecumenical services throughout the Continent. Scouts and Guides can then take the light on to other churches, hospitals, old people homes, prisons, and places of public, cultural and political importance
